Friends:
Let’s direct part of our prayer focus this week to be towards one of our important mission projects, Operation Christmas Child. This year New Hope will send over 2,000 shoeboxes across the globe that will be delivered into the hands of children in need. Each time a shoebox is given to a child, that child is also presented with the Good News of Jesus and given the opportunity to receive Christ as their Savior. The most important thing we can do is to pray over the boxes that are being prepared and the children receiving the gifts and the gospel. Below are a few things we can be praying for:
• That the shoeboxes prepared go into the hands of the children that God wants to receive them.
• That the child will hear how much Jesus loves them and their hearts will be open to hear the Good News of Salvation.
• That there will be something special in the shoebox that the child loves and that they will see it as a sign of God’s love for them.
• Pray for the children’s safety, health, and for God to supply all their needs.
• That each child will come to know the greatest gift of all is Jesus.
• Pray for the families and communities of the children receiving the shoeboxes and the love shared will impact everyone.
• Pray for the Samaritan’s Purse staff and volunteers to be empowered by God for His purposes.
• Pray also that the local churches and pastors in these communities receiving the shoeboxes will grow and thrive in Christ.
